Graciousness is the value that lacks in us, singaporeans.
Being gracious is very easy actually. But we chose to make it hard.
For example, in the train when you're sitting down and there comes an elderly/pregnant woman looking rather tired or restless. The easiest part of being gracious at that point of time is to get up and offer them your seat.
If you consider that hard, then there is a simpler way to be gracious.
When your friend or someone has done something for you, be grateful and appreciate it.
Instead of whining about how badly the job was done, you should be saying 'thank you'.
If you want a perfect job done, then you should do it yourself.
Workers such as cleaners should be appreciated instead of being cast aside by the majority because they have a 'low class' job. Without them, Singapore wouldn't be as clean as it is today. Be gracious and thank them for their job well done.
Toodles!
