Graciousness is the value that lacks in us, singaporeans.
Being gracious is very easy actually. But we chose to make it hard.
For example, in the train when you're sitting down and there comes an elderly/pregnant woman looking rather tired or restless. The easiest part of being gracious at that point of time is to get up and offer them your seat.
If you consider that hard, then there is a simpler way to be gracious.
When your friend or someone has done something for you, be grateful and appreciate it.
Instead of whining about how badly the job was done, you should be saying 'thank you'.
If you want a perfect job done, then you should do it yourself.
Workers such as cleaners should be appreciated instead of being cast aside by the majority because they have a 'low class' job. Without them, Singapore wouldn't be as clean as it is today. Be gracious and thank them for their job well done.

Second Post...
Hi.. Once again, we are sorry for the late post..Well, Here is it anyway...
Currently, my group has completed the posters. We are now trying to come out with an outline for our 5 minute video presentation. Our main aim is to create and develop an interesting outline for our video which would be both informative and fun to watch!!.. We are also considering a few venues for the setting of the video. Maybe we would be doing it around Darius FOUR FLOORS PRIVATE HOUSING AREA.. Yes, i had to emphasise on that.
We should be able to meet the deadline for the video. We plan to finish our video, which includes editing the video, by Friday , 11/9/09 .
Thats all for this post..

First Post
Hi..Firstly , Ms Mandy, i would like to apologise , on the behalf of my group, for posting this post so late. We had some difficulties in logging on onto our blogger account earlier on. Nevertheless, here's our first post....
Being gracious simply means that a person has to be pleasantly kind, benevolent, and courteous. In today's contexts, Singaporeans tend to care less about being gracious and they take a deaf ear to it. Examples of ungracious acts can be seen on the public transports daily. Some people, despite seeing others in need of a seat ( pregnant women , disable person, elderly) , they do not give up their seats. Despite the instructions given by the station control staff, many people do not wait for people to alight from the trains before alighting.
In order to raise awareness and to educate the public and the students of our school on graciousness, my group has decided to design posters with customised messages on them . Hopefully, the posters would remind them and hopefully, a gracious society could be the outcome of this project.
Darius Scott, our team's leader, would oversee the project and ensure that all deadlines are met ( sorry MANDY( silent ms) for the overdue posts) . Hidayah would design the posters using her creativity. Afiqah & I would find and research for relevant materials for the project. Yue Hao would help in the decoration of the posters; which include the colouring and printing of relevant documents.
